Ponderosa Steakhouse

The steak was good and was prepared exactly the way I wanted it. Salad bar left a lot to be desired though. Most of the food on the salad bar looked and tasted old. The veggies were wilted and the rest just looked like it had been sitting there for a while. For the price I would have rather gone to a steakhouse and gotten fresh sides. Granted it is all you can eat on the salad bar and there are some main dish options on it just wasn't impressed.

Steak was gummy and fatty. Buffet was ok. Not the greatest. Service was good.

I'm told this Ponderosa Steakhouse on highway 192 in Kissimmee, Florida, is the last one in the Sunshine State. Glad we had the opportunity to visit. Good value for a ribeye steak and full hot and cold buffets. Plenty of choices of decent food and desserts, plus attentive service. Quiet, no-rush atmosphere on a Spring Break Saturday.

My mom and I shared the T bone and it was more then enough. We got the buffet too,it was so so but it was the steak we came for and it didn't disappoint. Servers were great but young girl at the front was very rude. She was on her phone when we walked up to order and seemed bother by our presence, no hi, no thank you.

Nice restaurant for lunch or dinner with a great salad bar and good steaks, shrimps and chicken.

I really enjoyed my meal at the Ponderosa and it was for a reasonable price the only thing I thought was odd is you can have for example jelly cookies cake icecream for breakfast

We haven't visited a Ponderosa Steak House for months thinking all the Ponderosas in Orlando were closed!! but we found out that this one is still open and we Thank the heavens for it...As soon as we found out we went there and have a great dinning experience as always..my sirloin tips were delicious and our waitress cherry was very attentive..the service was great and the salad bar is my favorite part of it all...I don't know why? but if I buy every ingredient at my house and make the same salad it doesn't taste as fresh as yours!!

We went when it was all you can eat steak. The steak you couldn't chew. Not to much to choice from not like it use to be. The people were very friendly though.

Great value for money family oriented restaurant. Good choices on the menu. Nice buffet with tasty offerings. Generally food well presented with prompt and friendly wait service.

I've been here twice. The food could be better but it's pretty good! They have a cute dessert section. I like to get fried chicken crumbs and put them in my vanilla ice cream. 😂 There is a large gift shop attached to the restaurant and it has pretty reasonable prices.

The buffet and the food was perfect. My only dislike is the dressing are so bad, and that affect all the experience. I hope they can improve that.

I Used To Go To Ponderosa All The Time When I Was A Kid. It’s Been 25 Years Since I Ate At One Of There Restaurants. This place has went all down hill. They have not kept up the place. This place has been there since the 80s. The restrooms were clean I will say that, the food was really really good also. There streaks are still good after all these years. The Customer Service Is Really Really Really Poor! I Mean Really Bad. I Asked A Waitress For A To Go Box And She Lied And Said They Didn’t Have Any. I Asked The Manger For One And At Last I Got One. I Don’t Like Liars. The Only Reason Why I Gave Then 3 Stars Is Because The Food Was Good. Hopefully if I go back the service will be better

The staff here makes this “mediocre” restaurant exceptional. Vernon, Stephanie, Juanita, Bea. Brayson (not sure on Brayson’s name) were so nice, funny and sweet to our 7 year old son and the service we got was beyond good. They made us feel like we were the only customers in the place. The food was as quite good as well. We will be back during the rest of our stay in the area. Thank you all for making our little guy feel like a million bucks! *****My only complaint was that the flashing light up marquee sign outside says that the buffets were buy one get one free. The cashier said they would not honor it and also stated that we were not the first ones to ask about it today. It should have been honored & yes.....we took a photo of it.

I haven't seen a Ponderosa since I was a kid (1980s). I thought for sure they all went the way of the DoDo bird. So my review is seen through the eyes of nostalgia. I loved it. They could have served me a steaming pile of dog food and still, I would have enjoyed it. By the time the food you ordered comes to the table, you're completely full from the huge buffet! If you've never had the pleasure of eating at a Ponderosa, GO NOW.

Love this place. Always go here for breakfast before hitting the theme parks. Very affordable prices for breakfast and dinner. I have kept going back even on my forth time in America. Can't fault it.

The service was excellent, and the pricing was pretty good. The buffet was hot and well-stocked as soon as it was time fur lunch. The steaks were cooked to order, but we're pretty low-quality, though what I'd expect at Ponderosa. The fish and chips were way better than expected.

This is my son’s favorite restaurant. It is always a fun treat to come here. We had a wide variety of entrees and all of them were cooked perfectly and tasted very good. The service was amazing. Vernon was such a nice and friendly server! Ask for him if you ever go. He’s been at Ponderosa for 26 years. He has great pride in his restaurant.We appreciate the clean atmosphere and the wide variety of selections on the buffet as well. The pot roast and mashed potatoes were so good even though I was stuffed. The soft serve and choice of toppings was a hit with my kids. I think my son had two cones. HahaWe are sad we have to come all the way to FL to enjoy this restaurant. We wish they had more locations. Thanks for the great experience!!!

Quick service. Great price. $35 for 2 buffets that include beef tips and potato & 2 drinks. Food is way better than. Golden corral, don't know why people are saying go there before this place is way better. Great service many attentive people, clean bathrooms.

Nice place for lunch, but limited buffet. The buffet only price is higher then Golden Corral. (we went for lunch buffet only price was 10.99 GC ots lunch 8 somthing and 11 somthing for dinner)

This is one of the better buffets on 192. Service was fast the buffet has ham, sausage, chicken wings. I had a petite sirloin with baked potato and the buffet was included for 13.99. Large salad selection and fresh grout as well as soups, pasta ,pizza, tacos and nachos. Desert was chocolate ice cream,brownie and a cookie.

Breakfast was plentiful, good and very very affordable. Ponderosa's are dying breed in Orlando Florida area. This seems to be the last one. Enjoy while you can. This one may not last either. Ever changing ole timers are cashing out, selling out or crashing out. We did enjoy our breakfast. We hope you do to.

I miss having a ponderosa close to home.. food and salad bar was well worth it

Just love Ponderosa, no frills great quality buffet and great entries.We visited for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is great and covers of pretty much anything you can think of from old american classics to fruit and bagels. Dinner was great and the lady at the front was great and gave us the best possible deal. Service was very attentive and made to feel really welcome.Great place, amazing value for money !!! Highly recommend this place !!!

For the time of day, we surprisingly got seated immediately and the staff was very courteous and friendly. The food was better than any other buffet food that I've eaten. The buffet was well stocked, and as soon as something ran out, they were quick to refill it. As far as drinks went, they never ran empty. Our server asked if we'd like refills when there was still another sip or two left in the cup. I would recommend this Ponderosa, and I will return to eat there in the near future.

don't forget to ask for napkins because they won't give you any unless you do. they also told us they were out of baked potatoes so we had to order sweet potatoes and those cost more and after we ordered regular baked potatoes are magically back in stock. well played ponderosa well played

Pretty good meat loaf. Serves was friendly and prompt on drink refills. Good value.

Great choice of food. Eat as much as you like for a good price. Waiter/server Vernon was the reason we kept coming back. He was a lovely guy, very friendly and made us laugh. Brilliant guy. One Time!!!!

Lovely steaks cooked on the grill. Plenty of choice from salad bar. Encouraged to return to the salad bar and top up drinks. Reasonable prices. Comfortable seating. Friendly staff.

I gave it 1star because 0 stars wasn't an option. The salad buffet is a joke, bacon bits are fake. The food tasted like came out of a can, Mac & Cheese had NO flavor! Neither ice cream machine was working properly. I brought this to the managers attention and his response was, oh shucks"! NEVER again!

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Steak was flavorful and tender. And iced tea was plentiful. What more could one want?

Hadn't been to a Ponderosa in 10+ years. Was not disapointed. Very attentive staff and the food was fresh and replaced as needed.

Feeling nostalgic our family went to visit Ponderosa. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The buffet was so fresh and clean looking. Our waitress Doris was the best. She was very attentive. We will be back.

My husband and I ate dinner at the restaurant, the food was horrible. We were celebrating our anniversary weekend in Orlando/Kissimmee area and wanted to go to an all u can eat restaurant, we ordered 2 entrees and ate just a little food from the buffet. Once the entrees arrived we left and went to Golden Corral.. If I could give zero stars I would, we will never eat there again, we were very disappointed

I’m on vacation and saw this Ponderosa. I love and miss Ponderosa so this review may be biased. The service at this specific location was fantastic and super friendly. The food is still consistent and exactly how I remember from the 80s. So sad that there are barely any left. I would definitely eat here again!

This is one of the best places to go to have breakfast, Lunch or dinner. I live in west palm beach and when I head up to Kissimmee this is my first stop. Always have good customer service and fresh food all the time. I’ve been going there for many years even before they moved locations. Keep up the good work.👍🏼

Very nice staff and courteous service. Reasonable prices and full buffet. Food was not good. I chose the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were swimming in at least 1 stick of cold melted butter. The dessert selection was adequate but poorly executed. Wouldn't reccomend.

A very good place to visit for a buffet. There was a variety of food available. Maybe not enough consideration for vegetarians. The food was OK. The staff were great. I would visit again. Also a discount Disney store next door.

My server was excellent. ROSA was great. Very comforting since I went alone and make sure I was ok. The food was not all I expected and I've been eating at Ponderosa since I was 5. I'm 32 now. I was slightly disappointed but it's still a great choice to go to.

Well where shall I begin, 1st] The steak that I had was like shoe leather, kept on chewing it and lost count it was just terrible, 2nd] the vegs ( string beans was missing something ooh that right flavor and seasoning, 3rd] the fries tasted like cardboard like you just cut up one and put it on my plate a friend told me about the food there and they were very disappointed that i got such service at this location, I don't think i can tell anyone because they would be very disappointed.
